You go to work and sit in a chair before your boss as he stares at you with a scowl and a mean glint in his eye.
“so what will you be doing for me today” you snap at him and smile.
“i am not here to do jackshit for you, you are fired”
This seems normal enough i would say.
On sunday you go to church and staring up at the alter as you kneel hands clasped you pray fervently, “lord please reveal the lotto numbers i need to buy a new car” when you get home to your surprise as hard as you think no numbers are forthcoming and you sit contemplating about Job “why” you mutter.
So it is with your dog, keep him chained in the back yard, ignore him a whole weekend and you will recieve nothing. Look after him, talk to him and stare in his eyes and you will see his soul, you will see the being behind the animal, pleasure and joy in such abundance will seep out of him and infect you, people will think you are mad, its ok you will have discovered one of the great joys of life given to man free of charge. If this is not what you want why even have a dog. What you give and do for animals will return an investment to your life only a few know. No matter what you do remeber that when a dog knows you are near he will be happy because that is all he ever wants, attention and love.
Don’t believe me, lock your wife and dog in the trunk of the car for an hour, which one is happy to see you when you open it ?
