Nelson Mandela Ocean Terminal or KwaZulu Cruise Terminal) is Durban’s modern international cruise ship terminal in South Africa.

- Location: South Beach, Durban (Port of Durban), at Berth B along Mahatma Gandhi Road, near uShaka Marine World. It’s a short walk from the beachfront promenade and offers great views of the harbour and Moses Mabhida Stadium.
- Opened: Completed in 2021, officially inaugurated by President Cyril Ramaphosa in November 2023.
- Cost: Approximately $16 million.
Design & Architecture
Designed by Elphick Proome Architecture (with Vusa Collaborative), the terminal draws strong inspiration from Zulu culture — featuring earthy colours, vibrant textures, and traditional triangular motifs from Zulu crafts. The bold, sculptural form stands out as a landmark between the harbour and city.
It handles up to 6,000 passengers per day for embarkation/disembarkation and can convert into a conference centre during off-season.
